Missionary Program
Missionary Program
Live your faith. Lead with purpose.
The Iskali Missionary Program is a life-changing experience for young adults
who feel called to serve.
Through faith, community, and leadership, missionaries accompany Hispanic
young adults in their spiritual journeys — helping them grow, belong, and
encounter Christ in a meaningful way.
The program is rooted in a deep conviction: young people belong in the Church
today — not someday, but now. Missionaries are sent to accompany those on
the margins and help parishes become true homes where young adults can
encounter Christ and grow in faith.

Our mission
Supporting the educational journey of first-generation Latino students.
The Iskali Missionary Program is a joyful conviction: young people belong in the Church today — not someday, but right now. Their parish is their home.
Missionaries are sent to reach those on the margins, inviting them into the loving embrace of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We seek to make parishes true homes — forming a new generation of servant leaders through communities of authentic friendship. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and inspired by Mary’s humble “yes,” they are called to live the Gospel and transform the world.
Through this mission, Iskali affirms the dignity and responsibility of young people, who are called to holiness in the midst of everyday life.
The need
Why this mission matters
The need
Why this mission matters
Across the United States, many young Latino Catholics feel unseen or disconnected from parish life.
While thousands of parishes serve Hispanic communities, many still lack the resources, structure, or leadership needed to engage young adults in meaningful ways.
While only 28% of parishes offer Mass in Spanish, thousands more are already serving Hispanic communities in other ways.
In fact, over 7,000
parishes — nearly half —
have some form of
Latino ministry.
Yet many young adults still struggle to find a
place where they truly belong.
This is where the Iskali Missionary Program
responds: We form leaders who don’t just serve
programs — they build relationships, create
belonging, and bring young people back into the
life of the Church.
Our approach
Building relationships that lead to mission
Our approach
Building relationships that lead to mission
At the heart of the Iskali Missionary Program is a simple conviction: discipleship begins with real relationships. Especially within the Hispanic community, where family, friendship, and faith are deeply intertwined, evangelization is not a program — it is a lived experience.
Authentic Acceptance
Authentic Acceptance
We welcome young adults as they are — creating spaces where they feel seen, known, and valued.
Authentic Friendship
Authentic Friendship
We walk alongside others, building trust and meaningful relationships over time.

We proclaim Christ not as an idea, but as a lived encounter that transforms lives.
We form intentional disciples through relationships rooted in:

Iskali missionaries don’t serve alone. They are part of a robust ecosystem designed to sustain mission, build community, and form leaders for the long term.
