Anthony and Ruby Tapia

Family in Mission | Iskali Financial Supporters

Anthony and Ruby Tapia are a family rooted in faith, service, and a deep commitment to forming young Latino Catholics. Ruby, who holds a Master’s in Education Administration, is currently a stay-at-home mother, and Anthony works as a Process Engineer at Tesla. Anthony lived his Iskali Initiation Retreat in June 2014, and Ruby lived hers in June 2016. Shortly after, they began dating and immersed themselves in service, coordinating the young adult group at St. Domitilla Parish. After getting married in September 2018, Anthony and Ruby relocated to California, where they have been blessed with two beautiful children. Though far from Chicago, they remain deeply connected to Iskali and firmly believe in its mission for young Latino Catholics. Feeling called to continue supporting the work from afar, they became financial supporters, hopeful that the next generation including their own children will one day encounter Christ through this community. For Anthony and Ruby, family is their first vocation and their greatest mission field. Guided by Mother Teresa’s reminder that “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family,” they strive to raise children who know, love, and follow God. Their prayer is that by keeping faith at the center of their home, their children will go out into the world and lead others to Jesus through the witness of their lives.
